Tammi & Alex’s Beautiful Summer Wedding at Ashdown Park Hotel
Tammi and Alex’s wedding at Ashdown Park Hotel on 1st August was certainly a wedding to remember! A beautiful summer day with family, friends, stunning gardens and, most importantly, an owl ring bearer!
I always enjoy photographing weddings at Ashdown Park Hotel. The beautiful house, gardens and surrounding countryside offer so many great opportunities for wedding photography, and Tammi and Alex’s day was particularly special.
Tammi got ready at the hotel while Alex arrived a couple of hours before the ceremony with his groomsmen. There was one very important part of the morning that needed a little practice — Alex and his best man getting used to having an owl as their ring bearer! It was certainly not your usual wedding morning.
The ceremony took place outside at the beautiful Summer House. The owl then delivered the rings, completely surprising the guests and creating one of the most memorable moments of the day.
After the ceremony, guests had the chance to meet the owls, pet them and have photographs with them. We also captured some fantastic photographs with the owls and falcons, including photos with the bridesmaids and groomsmen. We also created a couple of cool, magazine-style bridal party photos, giving the wedding party some fun and creative portraits to remember the day by. Of course, we also captured some beautiful portraits of Tammi and Alex with the birds.
The wedding breakfast and speeches took place in the Harry Clarke Room, where everyone enjoyed great food, laughter and some lovely speeches. The wedding cake looked amazing too, especially with the beautiful stained glass window behind it, so we took some photographs of Tammi and Alex with their cake.
While the room was being prepared for the evening, we went for a relaxed walk around the gardens and captured some beautiful couple portraits. Ashdown Park has so many lovely spots for photographs, so we simply explored and photographed wherever we found great light and beautiful surroundings.
The evening celebrations included cake cutting, plenty of dancing and guests enjoying the warm summer evening outside. We also captured a fun sparkler exit before finishing the night with some champagne spray photos.
Tammi and Alex’s Ashdown Park Hotel wedding was full of personality, surprises and unforgettable moments. The owl ring bearer was certainly something special, but the relaxed atmosphere and the love shared with their family and friends made the whole day wonderful to photograph.
