A beautiful September wedding at Brookfield Barn
Kerry and Lewis’ wedding at Brookfield Barn at the end of September was a wonderful day filled with sunshine, family, friends and two very special guests — their adorable dogs, who had the important job of being the ring bearers!
Getting ready and an outdoor ceremony by the lake
Both Kerry and Lewis got ready at Brookfield Barn, and the morning was full of excitement. We even had time for a lovely first look with Kerry and her bridesmaids before the ceremony.
The weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding, and the ceremony took place beside the lake. It's honestly one of my favourite places for an outdoor ceremony, with such a beautiful setting for couples to exchange their vows.
With their two dogs joining them as ring bearers, it was a particularly personal ceremony.
Afterwards, everyone gathered for a big group photograph and confetti, before enjoying the drinks reception accompanied by a wedding singer.
We also took the family and wedding party photographs during this time, keeping everything relaxed while everyone enjoyed the sunshine.
Wedding breakfast and sunset portraits
After the drinks reception, everyone headed inside for the wedding breakfast and speeches, with plenty of lovely moments to capture throughout.
A couple of hours before sunset, we took Kerry and Lewis away for their couple portraits. This is often one of my favourite times of the day for photography, when the light becomes softer and more flattering.
Brookfield Barn is perfect for these photographs. The grounds offer beautiful countryside views, a charming little swing and a bridge, giving us plenty of different backdrops without needing to go far from the venue.
Pizza, marshmallows and an unforgettable evening
The evening celebrations started with the cake cutting and first dance, followed by plenty of fun with family and friends.
There was a photo booth, pizza and even marshmallows being roasted by the children — a lovely touch that added to the relaxed atmosphere of the day.
We finished with a sparkler exit and some champagne spray photographs, giving Kerry and Lewis a fun and memorable end to their wedding celebrations.

Alongside their wedding photography, I also captured a film of Kerry and Lewis’ special day. I love being able to tell the story of a wedding through both photographs and video, bringing back not only the moments but also the voices, music and atmosphere.
