Sophie and Callum’s August wedding at Buxted Park Hotel was such a lovely day to capture. It was a beautiful summer wedding with a very relaxed, family-focused atmosphere, lots of children and plenty of fun and laughter throughout the day.

I’m a recommended Buxted Park Hotel wedding photographer, and I photograph weddings here regularly. It is one of my favourite wedding venues in East Sussex, and I always enjoy coming back to capture another couple’s story. For Sophie and Callum, I also provided hybrid coverage, capturing video alongside their wedding photography, which they absolutely loved.

Both Sophie and Callum got ready at Buxted Park, which made the morning nice and relaxed. Callum got ready in the Snooker Room while Sophie prepared in the beautiful Blue Room. With family and friends around them, there was a lovely atmosphere from the start of the day.

Their ceremony took place indoors in the Coat of Arms Lounge. It was a beautiful and emotional ceremony, with plenty of family members and children there to share the moment with them.

Afterwards, everyone headed outside onto the lawn for confetti. We then took some family photographs while everyone was together before heading into the Ballroom for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

The wedding breakfast was relaxed and full of laughter, with the family-focused atmosphere continuing throughout the meal. It was lovely to see so many generations celebrating together and enjoying Sophie and Callum’s special day.

Later, we went outside for some couple portraits around sunset. Buxted Park has so many beautiful spots for photographs, and the evening light gave us a completely different feel from the earlier photos.

We finished our portrait session with one of my favourite Buxted Park wedding photographs — the pond shot. It has become a bit of a signature image for me at this venue, and I love creating it for my couples. This time, my light assistant was Callum’s sister, who did a brilliant job helping us create the shot!

We then returned to the Ballroom for the cake cutting and first dance. Before long, the dance floor was full, with everyone from the youngest guests to the older generations joining in and having fun. It was exactly the kind of relaxed and joyful wedding atmosphere I love to capture.

Sophie and Callum’s Buxted Park Hotel wedding was full of family, laughter, love and some wonderful memories. It was a real pleasure to photograph and film their day, and I’m so happy they loved both their photographs and their wedding film.

If you are planning your own Buxted Park wedding and are looking for a relaxed, documentary-style Buxted Park wedding photographer and videographer, I would love to hear from you.
