Jess & Oli’s Beautiful Ravenswood Wedding

Jess and Oli’s wedding at The Ravenswood was a truly wonderful day to be part of. They are such a lovely couple, both passionate animal lovers who work with animals, and their warm and caring personalities shone through every moment of the celebration.
Their wedding took place in mid-May at The Ravenswood, one of the most popular wedding venues in West Sussex and a venue I always enjoy photographing.
The weather forecast wasn't looking promising, with rain threatening throughout the day. Jess had always dreamed of having an outdoor ceremony, so we were all keeping our fingers crossed.
Luckily, the weather was on our side when it mattered most. The rain stopped just in time, allowing Jess and Oli to have their ceremony outside surrounded by their family and friends. It was a beautiful and emotional moment, made even more special knowing how much it meant to them.
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the dry weather to capture group photos and some beautiful couple portraits around the grounds. For the groom and groomsmen photos, we used Oli's beloved Mini, which added a personal touch and created some fun and stylish images. Meanwhile, the Secret Garden provided the perfect backdrop for photos of Jess and her bridesmaids.
One of the things I love most about The Ravenswood is the variety of beautiful locations available for photographs. We spent time exploring the grounds together, capturing romantic portraits throughout the gardens, pathways and scenic spots around the venue. Despite the unpredictable weather, the atmosphere throughout the day was incredibly warm, relaxed and full of celebration.
The reception was filled with laughter, great food and wonderful company. As the evening got underway, the dance floor quickly filled up and guests danced the night away. We also enjoyed a fantastic sparkler exit, which always creates a magical atmosphere and some memorable photographs.
To finish the evening, we captured some fun champagne spray photos. These are always a favourite with my couples and are the perfect way to end a wedding day full of energy, laughter and unforgettable memories.
Jess and Oli's Ravenswood wedding was proof that even when the weather doesn't quite go to plan, an amazing wedding day is all about the people, the atmosphere and the moments shared together. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph their day.
