Brookfield Barn is such a beautiful setting for weddings—peaceful countryside views, lovely light, and everything in one place.

If you’re getting married at Brookfield Barn and want to make the most of your wedding photography, here’s a timeline that helps us capture all the key moments without feeling rushed.

Brookfield Barn Weddings

Getting Ready – 10:00The day starts with detail shots—your dress, bouquet, rings, perfume, and more.

I also love capturing the excitement and little moments while you get ready with your closest friends and family.

I also make sure to meet the groom and groomsmen when they arrive at the venue. I love capturing those fun, relaxed moments—like when they’re helping each other with buttonholes, adjusting ties, or sharing a laugh before the ceremony.

Ceremony & Confetti – 1:00

Whether you're using the barn or the lakeside space, your ceremony will be full of emotion.

Most ceremonies last about 30 minutes. Right after, we’ll do the confetti shot—it’s fun, joyful, and always one of my favourite moments to capture!

Group Photos – 2:15 I’ll help make the group photos quick and enjoyable. We’ll plan a list ahead of time so we don’t miss anyone important, and I’ll guide everything smoothly. That way, you can get back to your drinks and hugs sooner.

Couple Portraits – 3:00

If you’re having a summer wedding, the light around this time can be quite strong and harsh for outdoor portraits. In that case, I usually suggest doing a few creative shots indoors—maybe in your reception room while it’s still beautifully set up.

It’s a lovely way to capture the atmosphere and décor before your guests go in.

If you’re getting married in autumn, winter or spring, the light is softer and more flattering around this time, so it’s usually perfect for taking portraits outside around the lake or in the fields.

Wedding Breakfast & Speeches – 3:30 During the meal and speeches, I’ll be capturing all the laughter, happy tears, and reactions. These moments are so genuine and full of emotion.

Golden Hour Portraits – 8:00If the weather is kind, we’ll step outside for a few sunset photos. That soft golden light around the barn and fields is perfect for dreamy couple portraits.

Just 20-25 minutes is enough to make magic!

Cake Cutting, First Dance & Sparklers – 8:30 onwardsAfter your first dance, the evening usually picks up with dancing, laughter, and sometimes a sparkler exit, which makes a magical ending to your photo story.

This is just a guide, and I always adapt to each couple’s unique plans. If you're getting married at Brookfield Barn and want help planning a relaxed timeline that gives you stunning photos without taking over your day, I’d love to chat.
