A stylish May wedding with motorbike portraits and romance at Lewes Castle
Maxine and Mark’s wedding at Pelham House was a beautiful celebration in May, full of personality, fun and unique moments. Pelham House is one of the most elegant wedding venues in Lewes, and it is always a joy to photograph weddings here.

Both Maxine and Mark got ready at the venue, creating a relaxed and easy start to the day. The ceremony took place in the stunning Goring Room, a bright and elegant space that is perfect for intimate and emotional ceremonies. After the ceremony, guests gathered on the famous Pelham House stairs for a lively confetti moment, which always looks fantastic in photos.

Before the wedding breakfast, we took a short walk to Lewes Castle for some romantic portraits overlooking the town. Mark’s motorbike, which is very special to the couple, was also part of the day, and we captured some amazing creative portraits featuring the bike. One of the most memorable moments was a fun requested shot where Mark created tyre smoke while Maxine posed confidently with her leg raised on the front tyre — a very cool and personal image that perfectly reflected their personalities.

In the evening, the celebrations continued with cake cutting, the first dance, a fantastic live band and even pizza for guests, which everyone loved. To finish the night, we captured a romantic dip-kiss photo outside Pelham House with the beautifully lit venue in the background — a perfect ending to an unforgettable wedding day.

If you are planning your Pelham House Lewes wedding and are looking for a relaxed, documentary-style Pelham House wedding photographer, I would love to hear from you.
